SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – A deputy was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Southwest Miami-Dade.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred Friday afternoon in the area of 12240 Southwest 128th Street. It remains unclear what led to the shooting or whether it was connected to an active investigation.

7Skyforce captured footage of paramedics being escorted by police as they headed toward HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.

The deputy’s current condition is unknown.
