**Pink Parrot Media Boards Animated Adaptation of Maurice Druon’s Classic “Tistou”**

Pink Parrot Media has acquired world sales rights (excluding France and Benelux) to *Tistou*, an animated adaptation of Maurice Druon’s beloved children’s novel *Tistou les Pouces Verts*. The company will officially launch the film at this year’s American Film Market (AFM).

Produced by France’s Finalement and co-produced with Belgium’s Walking The Dog, the project made its debut at the Annecy International Animation Festival, where it secured a Mifa Pitch Award. *Tistou* is currently in development and is scheduled for delivery in 2028.

The story centers on an 8-year-old boy blessed with a magical gift: whatever he touches with his thumbs instantly bursts into bloom, bringing nature to life in unexpected places. Written and directed by Amandine Taffin, the feature is produced by William Picot for Finalement, with Eric Goossens and Anton Roeben producing for Walking The Dog. Pink Parrot Media’s Tania Pinto Da Cunha and Marie Claude Beauchamp serve as executive producers.

First published in France, *Tistou les Pouces Verts* has become a cherished children’s classic, translated into over 27 languages and published in more than 30 countries.

**Official Synopsis**

Tistou is destined for a bright future—his father is the head of a successful arms factory that has brought pride to their town for generations. Everyone expects young Tistou to follow in his footsteps, but there’s a problem: Tistou is slow to mature and possesses far too much imagination for the world of industry.

When Tistou’s parents finally send him to school, things go awry. However, with the help of the old gardener, Moustache, Tistou makes an amazing discovery: he has green thumbs. Wherever he places his thumbs, flowers and plants bloom, guided by his boundless imagination.

Overnight, his powers overtake the city—most notably the prison, which is consumed by nature. This sudden change sparks both beauty and chaos, drawing the attention (and ire) of a heavy-handed brigade of “botanists” determined to stop him. As Tistou’s plants inspire wonder across town, dark developments arise, and he uncovers a terrible secret involving his father’s factory. Determined to make a difference, Tistou decides to act—unaware that he will face far greater challenges than the botanist police.
