58-year-old man dies after getting shot in Fayetteville, police say
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — A 58-year-old man has died after being shot Monday in Fayetteville.
Just before 5:20 p.m., police officers responded to reports of shots fired along the 200 block of Waterdown Drive. Upon arrival, they found a man identified as Michael Whitfield of Fayetteville suffering from a gunshot wound.
Whitfield was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
