**Deputy Uses Makeshift Bridge to Rescue Stranded Dog at Lake Nacimiento**
A San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputy, along with local residents, came to the aid of a 16-year-old dog trapped in the mud at Lake Nacimiento on Monday.
The dog, named Jagger, was stuck in the mud while coyotes circled nearby, creating a tense situation. Fortunately, a deputy on patrol arrived at the scene in time.
With the help of residents who recognized Jagger from social media posts shared the previous day, the deputy constructed a makeshift bridge. This allowed them to reach the stranded dog and safely free him from the mud.
After the successful rescue, Jagger was cleaned up, fed treats, and joyfully reunited with his family.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude for the deputy’s quick response and the support from the local community in ensuring Jagger’s safe return.
