Five different players found the back of the net as the Maine Mariners handed the Reading Royals their first regulation loss of the season with a 5-1 victory on Sunday at Cross Insurance Arena.

Jacob Perreault played a key role for the Mariners, contributing a goal and two assists as Maine extended its point streak to five games (3-0-1-1). Teammates Alex DiPaolo, Zach Massicotte, Robert Cronin, and Ty Gallagher also scored, with DiPaolo celebrating his first professional goal.

For the Royals, Cam Cook scored a shorthanded goal, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Maine’s strong offensive performance.

The Mariners maintained offensive pressure throughout the game, registering 40 shots for the second consecutive contest. Meanwhile, goalie Luke Cavallin made 25 saves to earn his fourth win of the season.

With this victory, Maine improves to a 4-1-1-1 record, while Reading falls to 5-1-1-0.
