**Zebulon Man Charged with Killing Four Children; Law Enforcement Returns to Scene**
ZEBULON, N.C. — In a developing story, ABC11 has learned that law enforcement returned on Friday to the home of a Zebulon man charged with killing four of his children.
Wellington Dickens III was arrested earlier this week after calling 911 and allegedly stating that he “killed his children.” Authorities have since secured the scene, and ABC11 News has reached out to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office for additional information regarding the investigation.
Chopper 11 footage shows authorities walking into a wooded area behind Dickens III’s home. A Johnston County Sheriff’s deputy was parked in the driveway, with other law enforcement vehicles positioned along the street in front of the residence.
According to the ongoing investigation and interviews, the four victims—6-year-old Leah Dickens, 9-year-old Zoe Dickens, 10-year-old Wellington Dickens, and 18-year-old Sean Brasfield—were killed over a span of five months. Tragically, all four children’s bodies were discovered inside the trunk of a vehicle parked within the home’s garage.
Dickens’ 3-year-old son was found alive inside the house and is currently safe.
Wellington Dickens III appeared in court on Tuesday and Wednesday, facing four counts of murder.
