**DGP Rewards Dhamnod Police Station In-Charge for Helping Physically Challenged Man**
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Director General of Police (DGP), Kailash Makwana, has awarded Rs 5,000 to Praveen Thakre, the in-charge of Dhamnod police station in Dhar, for his compassionate assistance to a physically challenged man.
The incident occurred on September 17, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting in Dhar. The man was trying to leave the venue using only his hands. Due to the long distance and the massive crowd, he was struggling to reach his vehicle.
Noticing the man’s difficulty, Inspector Praveen Thakre carried him on his lap and helped him into the vehicle parked outside the pandal.
Moved by this act of humanity, DGP Kailash Makwana decided to reward the inspector. Prior to Makwana’s recognition, several other officers had also acknowledged Praveen Thakre’s kind gesture.
The reward aims to encourage police personnel to continue performing such benevolent acts and serve the community with compassion.
