ARC Raiders: How To Beat Every ARC (Weak Spots, Strategies and ARC Loot Explained)

If you want to make it out alive in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to learn how to beat every ARC type. ARCs are the dangerous robotic threat that dominates the topside in this game. You’ll frequently have to contend with them during each match. They’re as much of a threat as other players, if not even more so!
In this guide, we’ll go over every type of ARC and how to fight them. We’ll cover their weaknesses, main things to look out for, and even what loot they drop!

## How To Beat Every ARC | ARC Raiders
Before we dive into the details for each specific ARC type, here are a couple of general tips for taking them on.
The first thing to keep in mind is your weapon of choice. Pay attention to the **ARC Armor Penetration** stat on your weapon. The stronger it is, the better the gun will be for dealing with ARCs! This essentially means that guns that are good for PvP are not necessarily good for PvE.
For example, the **Tempest** might be great for PvP, but it only has **Moderate** armor penetration. The **Ferro** has a **Strong** armor penetration rating, so it’s better against ARCs.
Another important thing to keep in mind is the searchlights on the ARCs. Almost every ARC has these lights in one way or another, though they’re not equally obvious on all of them. Nonetheless, these do help you spot them, especially when it’s dark.
Additionally, those searchlights also help you know the ARC’s current patrolling status:
– **White or Blue**: Unalerted, searching for Raiders.
– **Orange**: Aware of nearby Raiders, but doesn’t know their exact position. The ARC will search for Raiders in the last place it saw or heard them.
– **Red**: Found Raiders and knows where they are, so it’s actively in combat mode.
With those two things in mind, let’s go over how to deal with each one of the ARCs we know of!
—
## Wasp
An armed surveillance drone, and one of the most common ARCs you can find topside. Don’t let its small size fool you—it’s still a threat!
This ARC flies around the skies, so make sure to look up every now and then to spot them. If it’s dark, they have a very bright searchlight that gives away their position.
**Combat Tip:** Aim for the thrusters on its corners. Destroying two thrusters will make it fall to the ground, which can directly kill it if it falls from high enough. Otherwise, it’ll be unable to fly and much easier to finish off!
To avoid its attacks, use cover—hide behind walls or inside buildings, staying out of its sights. Try popping out only between its volleys to shoot at it.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– Wasp Driver
– Light Ammo
*100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)*
—
## Hornet
Similar to the Wasp, this is also an armed flying drone frequently found alongside Wasps. The Hornet is slightly bigger, better armored, but a bit slower.
It fires slow-moving electric darts that can temporarily stun you. This doesn’t do much damage alone but can give other ARCs or Raiders an opening to finish you off!
**Combat Tip:** Deal with it like the Wasp: use cover to dodge shots, then pop out between volleys to retaliate. Focus on breaking the unarmored thrusters on its backside to get it down from the sky. Also, keep your distance—the darts are slow and easier to dodge when far away.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– Hornet Driver
– Simple Gun Parts
– Medium Ammo
*150 XP (Destroy), 250 XP (Loot)*
—
## Snitch
A drone-like ARC with a dome-shaped build. It has no weapons and acts purely as a spotter. Once it spots Raiders, it summons a swarm of ARCs, usually Hornets and Wasps.
To bring it down safely, hide from its spotlight while targeting it. On its own, it doesn’t take much effort.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– Sensors
– Snitch Scanner
*100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)*
—
## Rocketeer
The most dangerous of all drone ARCs, responsible for many Raider deaths in the Server Slam. It’s a large, well-armored drone armed with a rocket launcher.
**Combat Tip:** Find cover immediately! Its rockets have a large blast radius and are nearly impossible to dodge. Use cover to avoid damage, but be wary of buildings with many openings—rockets can pass through and hit you.
Focus on breaking 2 thrusters to bring it down. The Rocketeer is resilient, so make sure you have plenty of ammo and a weapon with high ARC Armor Penetration before engaging.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– ARC Motion Core
– ARC Circuitry
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– Heavy Gun Parts
– Rocketeer Driver
– Heavy Ammo
*500 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot Per Part)*
—
## Tick
A six-legged, fast ARC mostly found inside large buildings. Ticks attack by jumping onto Raiders and grabbing them. If grabbed, you must hold the interact button to fight it off.
They deal light damage but immobilize you, which can be deadly if other threats are nearby.
**Combat Tip:** Listen for their high-pitched screeches as a cue to look for them. Ticks are very weak—any single shot should take one out. Their movement is fast and erratic, so be ready.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– Tick Pod
*50 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)*
—
## Pop
Small round ARCs with a ring around them, commonly found inside large buildings. Pops are suicide bombers that rush Raiders and self-detonate, dealing massive damage.
**Combat Tip:** Run away to create distance before firing, as they will still explode when shot. Use vaulting over obstacles to escape since Pops cannot jump over them. Use red interface lights to track their approach.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– ARC Thermo Lining
– Crude Explosives
– Pop Trigger
*50 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)*
—
## Fireball
Similar to Pops, but lacking the ring and with a darker paint job. Fireballs use a flamethrower at close range that can set Raiders and environments ablaze.
**Combat Tip:** Avoid their flamethrower range and shoot from a distance. They have no weak points but are not very resilient.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– Crude Explosives
– Fireball Burner
*100 XP (Destroy), 100 XP (Loot)*
—
## ARC Surveyor
Large rolling balls found outside. Non-combatants by nature, they try to escape when attacked by rolling away quickly. They will ram Raiders obstructing their path, dealing damage.
**Combat Tip:** Wait for it to scan surroundings, which exposes its vulnerable core. Target this core to deal massive damage.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– ARC Motion Core
– ARC Circuitry
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– Sensors
– Surveyor Vault
*200 XP (Destroy), 300 XP (Loot Core), 100 XP (Loot Part)*
—
## Turret
Static ARCs found inside buildings resembling surveillance cameras with mounted guns. Once they spot you, they fire for a few seconds.
**Combat Tip:** Get into cover to avoid damage, then pop out while it reloads. Turrets have no weak points and moderate resilience.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– Light Ammo
– Simple Gun Parts
*100 XP (Destroy), 200 XP (Loot)*
—
## Sentinel
The mobile counterpart to Turrets, found on building exteriors. They have visible red lasers indicating where they’re aiming.
**Combat Tip:** Take cover near their target zone, bait their single shots by popping out, then return fire during reloads.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– ARC Coolant
– ARC Synthetic Resin
– ARC Thermo Lining
– ARC Motion Core
– Sentinel Firing Core
– Heavy Ammo
*200 XP (Destroy), 300 XP (Loot)*
—
## Leaper
A large arachnid ARC and one of the most dangerous if unprepared. It attacks by leaping onto Raiders, dealing massive damage and stunning them.
After landing, it emits shockwaves that shred shields and health.
**Combat Tip:** Use small buildings to your advantage—hide in places too small for it but with sight lines outside. Its main weak points are its big central eye and legs. Damaging its legs impairs mobility and exposes the core.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Flex Rubber
– ARC Performance Steel
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– Explosive Compound
– Mechanical Components
– Leaper Pulse Unit
*500 XP (Destroy), 600 XP (Loot Core), 200 XP (Loot Parts)*
—
## Bastion
A slow-moving fortress-like ARC resembling a crab. Extremely resilient and able to deal massive damage, mainly with its mounted gatling gun.
**Combat Tip:** It fires volleys for about 3 seconds followed by a cooldown. Its weak points are the yellow kneecaps on its legs—breaking them impairs mobility and exposes the inner core. Alternatively, destroying the yellow cylinder on its back will instantly destroy the Bastion, but this is rare unless distracted.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– ARC Motion Core
– ARC Circuitry
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– Mechanical Components
– Medium Gun Parts
– Bastion Cell
– Medium Ammo
*500 XP (Destroy), 500 XP (Loot Per Part)*
—
## Bombardier
Similar to the Bastion but armed with a mortar, this slow-moving ARC decimates Raiders with shelling.
**Combat Tip:** Take cover under roofs or overhangs, as Bombardier’s shots arc high and fall down. Spotter drones typically accompany it; prioritize eliminating these first since they assist its targeting. Damage strategy mirrors the Bastion — target yellow kneecaps or the yellow container on its back.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– ARC Powercell
– ARC Performance Steel
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– Mechanical Components
– Medium Gun Parts
– Bombardier Cell
– Launcher Ammo
*500 XP (Destroy), 500 XP (Loot Per Part)*
—
## The Queen
The Queen is by far the strongest ARC in the game. You’re generally advised **not to try fighting her alone**. She requires a full squad of well-prepared Raiders to stand a chance.
**Combat Insight:** The Queen is heavily armored, with leg joints and her central eye as potential weak points. She is usually accompanied by Rocketeers, which must be dealt with quickly.
Very few have successfully defeated her during Technical Tests and Server Slams—the vast majority of attempts end with The Queen decimating the team.
**Loot:**
– ARC Alloy
– Advanced ARC Powercell
– ARC Motion Core
– ARC Circuitry
– ARC Coolant
– ARC Flex Rubber
– ARC Thermo Lining
– ARC Synthetic Resin
– ARC Performance Steel
– Advanced Mechanical Components
– Advanced Electrical Components
– Magnetic Accelerator
– Queen Reactor
*1000 XP (Destroy), 1000 XP (Loot Core), 500 XP (Loot Part)*
