Netflix has teased an early surprise for fans of one of its most popular series. Ahead of the long-awaited return, the streamer announced a special event offering a first look at *Stranger Things* Season 5. This exclusive preview will arrive before the final season officially begins streaming.

Netflix has confirmed that viewers will get to watch the first five minutes of *Stranger Things* Season 5 prior to its official release. According to Tudum by Netflix, the preview will debut during a global virtual watch party on November 7 at 1 AM GMT. The live-streamed event promises “cast interviews, surprise appearances, a sneak peek at the new season, and more,” all streamed live from the red carpet.

The fifth and final season of *Stranger Things* will be released in three parts. The first four episodes will arrive on November 26, followed by three more on Christmas Day, with the finale set to drop on New Year’s Eve. Netflix confirmed that the first four episodes will range in length from 54 minutes to 1 hour and 23 minutes.

Fans interested in joining the virtual premiere must RSVP and share their favorite *Stranger Things* memory during registration to participate in the event.

Set in the 1980s, *Stranger Things* became a global phenomenon following its 2016 debut. The series follows a group of friends in the town of Hawkins who uncover government experiments and supernatural threats stemming from the mysterious Upside Down.

In Season 4, the villain Vecna (played by Jamie Campbell Bower) left Max (Sadie Sink) in critical condition and survived his battle with Eleven. The final season will bring Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) face-to-face with Vecna for an ultimate confrontation.

The Duffer Brothers explained that production delays caused the three-year gap since Season 4 but assured fans that the wait will be “worth it.”
