Axl Rose Responds to Fan Request for Deep Cut During Guns N’ Roses Brazil Show

The Latin American leg of Guns N’ Roses’ tour kicked off on October 1st, and during their October 21st performance in Florianopolis, Brazil, a fan made a special request. Between songs, while the band members were moving around onstage, the fan repeatedly shouted the name of the Appetite for Destruction track “Think About You.”

Eventually, Axl Rose acknowledged the request and shared a quick story with the crowd.

“I heard that request, but we haven’t played that in a while,” Rose said. “But I just want to say it made me think. I had Chinese food today and I got a fortune cookie that gave me a Chinese fortune in Brazilian Portuguese that told me to think about life.”

The crowd cheered, and Rose added with a laugh, “I kind of went, fuck that!”

When Did Guns N’ Roses Last Play “Think About You”?

According to Setlist.fm’s Guns N’ Roses Tour Statistics page, the last time the band performed “Think About You” was back in 2006. The song saw several performances between 2001 and 2006, but prior to 2001, it hadn’t been played since 1987.

This means that Axl Rose hasn’t performed “Think About You” alongside Slash and Duff McKagan in about 38 years. Notably, it’s the only track from Appetite for Destruction that Guns N’ Roses haven’t played since Slash and McKagan rejoined the band in 2016.

Other Appetite for Destruction deep cuts, such as “Out Ta Get Me,” “My Michelle,” and “Anything Goes,” have already appeared on Guns N’ Roses’ 2025 setlist.

In recent years, the band has added quite a few deep cuts to their live shows, including “Dead Horse,” “Locomotive,” “So Fine,” “Pretty Tied Up,” as well as their cover of “Down on the Farm,” among others.

So while “Think About You” hasn’t been part of the setlist yet, fans can remain hopeful that Guns N’ Roses might dust off the deep cut and add it to their rotation at some point in the future.
