The Wales soccer star Aaron Ramsey recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message alongside a black-and-white photo of his beloved beagle, Halo. In the post, Ramsey wrote, “What I’d do to hold you one last time Halo,” as he appealed for help in locating his missing dog. He has also offered a $10,000 reward for any information leading to Halo’s safe return.

Ramsey explained that Halo went missing earlier this month after being left at a dog shelter in the city of Dolores, located in Guanajuato, Mexico. “Please help us find Halo, he was lost in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato,” Ramsey said on Instagram.

The former Arsenal, Juventus, and Cardiff midfielder moved to Mexico in July, signing a one-year contract with top-tier club Pumas. Currently, Pumas sits 12th in the 18-team Liga MX. Ramsey missed Pumas’ last match against León on Saturday as he continued his search for Halo.

Ramsey’s teammates and coach understand how much the dog means to him. “We are with him, let’s see what happens in the upcoming days,” Pumas coach Efraín Juárez said following the team’s 1-0 victory against León. “He has this issue, we all know what it is, with his dog, but we are there for him.”

The search for Halo is ongoing. Ramsey’s wife, Colleen Ramsey, also urged fans and locals to assist in the search. “We are still searching for answers. If you see a beagle in San Ignacio, Dolores Hidalgo, please message us,” she said on social media.

Before moving to Mexico, Ramsey served as Cardiff City’s interim manager for the final three games of the 2024-25 season after the club was relegated from England’s Championship to the third-tier League One.

With 86 appearances for the Welsh national team, Ramsey played a crucial role in helping Wales reach the Euro 2016 semifinals—one of the country’s most significant football achievements in recent history.
