A Palmdale man was arrested on multiple warrants after a traffic stop for registration violations.
Around 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area units conducted a traffic stop on a white Infiniti G35 on Sand Canyon Road, east of the 14 Freeway in Canyon Country, due to a registration violation, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.
“Upon contacting the driver, it was determined he had multiple warrants for his arrest,” Burgos-Lopez said. “The warrants included a $20,000 warrant for assault and battery, a $50,000 warrant for vandalism, and a $5,000 traffic-related warrant.”
Ruben Martinez, 26, from Palmdale, was placed under arrest for his warrants out of Palmdale, according to officials. He was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
