**Suicide Attack at Police Training Center in Pakistan Kills 7 Personnel**

A suicide attack on the Ratta Kulachi Police Training School in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan, resulted in the deaths of seven police personnel late Friday night.

The attackers rammed an explosives-laden truck into the main gate of the training center. Following the explosion, armed assailants dressed in various uniforms stormed the compound and opened fire, sparking chaos.

In response, police personnel retaliated and surrounded the attackers. A fierce five-hour gun battle ensued, during which six terrorists were killed. Security forces recovered suicide vests, explosives, modern weapons, and ammunition from the militants.

Thirteen police personnel sustained injuries and were promptly taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

At the time of the attack, approximately 200 trainees, instructors, and staff members were inside the training school. Authorities successfully evacuated everyone to secure locations under the supervision of DPO Dera Ismail Khan Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed and RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar. The evacuation operation involved SSG commandos, Al-Burq Force, Elite Force, and police personnel.

Following the incident, the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, confirmed that the area has been secured. A search operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats. He also commended the leadership of the RPO and DPO for their critical roles in the successful response.

Authorities have strongly condemned the attack and vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
