Anti-Money Laundering Council secures 5th freeze order under flood control probe

MANILA, Philippines — The Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) has secured a fifth freeze order from the Court of Appeals in connection with the ongoing flood control probe. This recent development brings the total value of immobilized assets to over P4.4 billion.

As part of the continuing crackdown, authorities have frozen a substantial number of assets, including 1,632 bank accounts, 54 insurance policies, 163 motor vehicles, 40 real properties, and 12 other assets. The move signals the government’s intensified efforts to clamp down on illicit activities linked to the flood control investigation.
