Noah Gragson shared his thoughts on racing at his home track, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, ahead of this weekend’s event. The 27-year-old driver expressed his love for competing at the 1.5-mile oval, especially with friends and family watching him in person.

Gragson’s roots trace back to The Bullring, a 0.375-mile oval located within Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he grew up racing Bandoleros and Legend Cars. His NASCAR career took off when he secured a Cup Series rookie contract with Legacy Motor Club in 2023. The following year, he transitioned to the now-defunct Stewart-Haas Racing. Currently, Gragson drives the No. 4 Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports (FRM).

Earlier this year, Gragson raced the Ford Mustang at Las Vegas in the spring race but experienced a blown tire with 25 laps remaining, cutting his run short. Reflecting on his return to the track, he noted the team has made significant gains in speed, which boosts his confidence for the upcoming race.

“I got my start at The Bullring, and now competing at the Speedway in front of friends and family is special,” Gragson said. “We had a good run in the spring before the blown tire with about 20 to go. The team’s been working hard to bring more speed every week, and I feel good about what we’ve got for this weekend.”

He concluded by adding, “Hopefully, we can put together a full race and give the fans a good show.”

The South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is scheduled for October 12 at 5:30 p.m. This race will serve as the Round of 8 opener. However, none of the three Front Row Motorsports drivers—Noah Gragson, Todd Gilliland, and Zane Smith—qualified for the playoffs.

### Gragson’s Favorite Number: #8

A couple of weeks ago, Noah Gragson participated in a Reddit Q&A where he revealed which racing number he would choose if not tied to a specific team or timeframe. Gragson selected #8, the number he raced with during his childhood.

In an episode of NASCAR’s Reddit Reacts, the Las Vegas native explained, “I would drive the #8 car. That was always my number growing up as a kid. I would play pool every once in a while, and I thought, ‘Man, the last ball you need until you win is the eight.’ You kind of got to get to the eight ball. You got to go through the eight ball to win.”

Currently, the No. 8 car in the NASCAR Cup Series is driven by Kyle Busch for Richard Childress Racing. Busch was also Gragson’s former boss during his time in the Craftsman Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports.

### Season Highlights

So far, Noah Gragson has recorded one top-5 finish in the No. 4 Front Row Motorsports Ford, achieved at Talladega Superspeedway in April. Talladega, known for its drafting-style racing, returns to the schedule the week after the Las Vegas race. In addition to his top-5, Gragson has earned three top-10 finishes this season.

As Gragson prepares to race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway once again, fans will be eager to see if he can deliver a strong performance on his home turf.
