“Feel like I’m on FaceTime when I’m watching it” – Amanda Anisimova gives her verdict on Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys’ podcast

Amanda Anisimova recently shared her honest thoughts on the podcast hosted by fellow American tennis stars Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys. The rising tennis star expressed her admiration for their show and revealed that she has watched nearly all the episodes.
Pegula and Keys, alongside Jennifer Brady and Desirae Krawczyk, launched their podcast, *The Players’ Box*, earlier this year shortly after the 2025 US Open. The podcast offers fans a unique glimpse into the lives of tennis players both on and off the court, providing behind-the-scenes insights that are not often seen.
During a recent post-match press conference at the China Open, Anisimova expressed her enthusiasm for the podcast, saying,
“I love that podcast. I think I’ve finished all the episodes. I’ve been watching it every night. I feel like I’m on FaceTime when I’m watching it.”
On the latest episode of *The Players’ Box*, Pegula reciprocated the support by praising Anisimova’s impressive backhand skills, highlighting the mutual respect shared among these top American players.
### Amanda Anisimova Reflects on Her China Open Campaign
Anisimova was most recently in action at the China Open, where the 24-year-old began her campaign strongly by defeating Katie Boulter and Zhang Shuai in straight sets. She continued her impressive run by overcoming Karolina Muchova and Jasmine Paolini, and then dominated Coco Gauff in the semifinals.
In the final showdown, Amanda Anisimova outperformed Linda Noskova to claim her second WTA 1000 title of the year, a significant achievement in her career.
Following her victory, Anisimova reflected on the emotional highs and challenges she faced during the tournament:
“I think the happiest moment was today, getting over the finish line. There’s no feeling like it really, when you are finally able to win the championship point. That was obviously the highlight of my week. Hugging my team.”
She continued,
“There were obviously some really tough moments where I was thinking of pulling out a few times. I think those were, like, the hardest moments because you’re trying to have a conversation with yourself and figure out what’s the best decision to make. I’m just really happy that I was able to stick it through and also trust myself and my team, who informed me about my body. Yeah, just trusting and believing in them and myself.”
### Looking Ahead: Wuhan Open
Amanda Anisimova is set to continue her season at the upcoming Wuhan Open, scheduled to take place from October 4 to 12. In the round of 32, she will face either Varvara Gracheva or Jessica Bouzas Maneiro as she aims to build on her recent success.
Fans will be eager to see if Anisimova can maintain her momentum and add another strong performance to her 2025 campaign.
