MANILA, Philippines — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) announced that it will provide emergency loans to its members and pensioners in Cebu, following a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck the province this week.

The earthquake caused significant damage to buildings and disrupted daily life in the area. In response, the GSIS Emergency Loan Program will be made available to qualified members and pensioners who reside or work in Cebu.
