Mika Immonen, world pool champion, dies at 52

MANILA, Philippines – Mika Immonen, the Finnish pool player and two-time world champion, passed away on Monday after battling cancer. He was 52 years old.

Immonen was widely celebrated in the pool community for his remarkable achievements, including winning the 2001 World Pool Championship and the 2009 World 10-Ball Championship.

Tributes have poured in from Matchroom Sport and fellow cue artists, honoring Immonen’s legacy and contributions to the sport.
