WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its latest iOS update, version 25.27.10.70, currently available through the TestFlight beta program. This update brings a convenient **’Status Chat Shortcut’** that allows users to start chats directly from the status viewers list with just a single tap.

### Simplifying Communication

The ‘Status Chat Shortcut’ adds a dedicated button next to each contact’s name in the status viewers list. By tapping this button, users are taken straight to the chat window with that contact. This eliminates the usual extra steps like navigating away from the status screen or searching through chats, making it easier and faster to initiate conversations.

### Enhancing User Experience

This feature aims to improve user convenience by promoting more spontaneous communication. Users can quickly message someone right after seeing they viewed their status update, fostering real-time interactions and reducing friction in connecting with contacts.
