**Mahesh Manjrekar’s Ex-Wife, Costume Designer Deepa Mehta, Passes Away; Son Pens Emotional Tribute**

Deepa Mehta, the first wife of actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar and a renowned costume designer, has passed away. Their son, Satya Manjrekar, confirmed the news through a heartfelt social media post, writing, “I miss you mumma,” alongside a warm, smiling picture of his mother. The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed. May she rest in peace.

**Career and Family**

Deepa Mehta was known not only for her work as a costume designer but also as the proprietor of a popular saree brand, Queen of Hearts. She married Mahesh Manjrekar in 1987 after they had known each other since their college days. Together, they had two children: a daughter, Ashwami Manjrekar, and a son, Satya.

However, their marriage ended in divorce in 1995. Following the separation, both children reportedly chose to live with their father.

**Mahesh Manjrekar’s Second Marriage**

After his divorce from Deepa Mehta, Mahesh Manjrekar married actor Medha Manjrekar. The couple is blessed with a daughter, Saiee Manjrekar, who made her Bollywood debut alongside her father in *Dabangg 3*. Saiee has also starred in films such as *Major* and *Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay*.

Additionally, Manjrekar’s stepdaughter, Gauri Ingawale, is an actor known for her roles in *Panghrun*, *Hi Anokhi Gath*, and *De Dhakka 2*.
