MP Govt To Act Strictly Against Those Who File Fake Plaints And Blackmail Officers On CM Helpline

**Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Government to Take Strict Action Against Fake Complaints on CM Helpline**
The government has announced that it will take strict action against individuals who blackmail officers and employees by filing fake complaints on the CM Helpline. The Public Service Management Department has requested district administrations to submit lists of people involved in filing such false complaints.
Officials have been asked to provide this information in a prescribed format, which includes details such as the complainant’s name, mobile number, the total number of complaints filed by them, and officers’ comments on the individual.
A directive from the department highlighted that some individuals misuse the CM Helpline by lodging false complaints intended to pressure and blackmail officers and employees across various departments. These cases have come to light during review meetings of CM Helpline complaints.
Previously, officers were advised to register FIRs in cases of fake complaints. Now, the government has issued a formal order and is actively seeking information from collectors about such offenders. So far, reports have been received from a few districts, confirming the occurrence of such incidents.
The issue was also raised by the Additional Chief Secretary (Rural Development). Officers from districts including Satna, Seoni, Maihar, and others have expressed concerns about the pressure they face due to fake complaints lodged on the CM Helpline.
The government is collecting detailed information on such individuals to consider registering FIRs against them for filing false complaints and blackmailing officials. This move aims to ensure the integrity of the grievance redressal system and protect honest officers from undue harassment.
