**Mumbai: Bombay High Court Seeks to Hear Fahim Ansari Before Passing Orders on Police Clearance Certificate**

The Bombay High Court on Saturday observed that there are serious complaints against Fahim Ansari, who was acquitted in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case. However, the bench emphasized that it will not pass any order without first granting Ansari an opportunity to review the allegations leveled against him by the state government.

### Four Weeks Granted to Submit Additional Material

A bench comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad granted four weeks to Ansari’s advocate to submit additional material in support of his plea. The court’s directive came during the hearing of Ansari’s petition challenging the police’s refusal to issue him a police clearance certificate required to drive an autorickshaw for his livelihood.

### State Raises Serious Allegations

Public prosecutor Mankunwar Deshmukh informed the court that there are serious complaints against Ansari, which the state was not willing to disclose in an affidavit at this stage. Deshmukh submitted a report in a sealed cover, which the court acknowledged for its consideration.

On Friday, Deshmukh had told the court that Ansari’s police clearance certificate was denied because he remains under surveillance on suspicion of association with the banned terror organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
